How We Got Started
Deb and Colleen became friends at work and soon found similarities in their life that affected who they were and how they viewed others.
One of those similarities was that they both had survived assault at various stages in their lives and knew the kind of process others would have to go through when at the hospital. What started as a “shower thought” soon turned into a group of survivors coming together to provide comfort and support to other survivors-and thus Phoenix Care Kits was created!
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide clothing and care packages for assault victims, and by doing so, give them hope and comfort. By giving them clothing to wear after their clothing is taken for evidence and a little comfort during the examination performed by the hospitals, we are returning a little piece of humanity.
